How we will work with you?

When you contact us it comes through our advice line and these are taken in turn, on a first come first served basis. Each referral  to the service is looked at in the order they are received and we respond as quickly as we can. We aim to respond within 5 working days but it may take up to 10 working days during busy times.  We always let everyone know on our Facebook page if we are unable to stay within these times. We ask that you only contact us once and give us at least 10 working days to respond before contacting us again as this does take up more time when we have duplicate contact.

For anyone living in North Yorkshire . Our service can provide information and advice to parents, carers and young people who live in the North Yorkshire localities of:

  • Harrogate,
  • Craven,
  • Hambleton and Richmondshire,
  • Selby,
  • The Coast, and Ryedale.

Available for parents, carers, guardians, children and young people. We can also talk to professionals who are involved if parents or young people give their permission

Available to provide general information and advice to professionals working with children with SEND. We can provide school staff, health professionals and other agencies working with children and young people with general information on SEN Support, the EHC Process and other areas of SEND policy, process and law. We are not able to work with parents or carers of children or with young people who live outside of North Yorkshire even if they attend a North Yorkshire school, college or setting and they would need to access support from their local SENDIASS Service.
